Chloey Cavanaugh
Digital Design Instructor
Chloey Cavanaugh is Was’ineidi Tax’Hit, Eagle Wolf clan in Kake, Alaska and credits her commitment to community and culture from her grandfather Archie Cavanaugh. Born and raised in Southeast, Chloey believes that the panhandle of Alaska is more than the enchanting beauty it beholds, but a teacher, a way of life, and a distinct part of her Tlingit identity passed down from generation to generation. Chloey believes that Indigenous voices belong in all spaces and seeks to use her traditional Tlingit values to guide her decisions. She is based in Kake, but often travels to Anchorage for pop-up exhibitions, workshops, public programs, and community events.
This will be Chloey's first direct collaboration with The Nave. We are delighted to have her with us!

Cecilia Karoly-Lister
Figure Drawing Instructor
Cecilia Karoly-Lister is an interdisciplinary artist who was raised on Dena’ina land in Anchorage by women and dogs. Her personal work explores the tanglings between narratives on home, queerness, and consumption. Cecilia received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Western Washington University in 2015 and MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston in 2023. While she has exhibited and curated in Alaska and nationally, her practice inhabits the gallery and the garden equally, foregrounding community engagement, multispecies healing, and opportunities for collective learning.
Cecilia has taught art workshops at The Nave previously, at Art Camp 2024 (for youth ages 7-11). We are excited to collaborate with her on this new program.
