Transforming Adults Only

Later this year the former sex business, Adults Only, is being transformed into a bookstore and cafe - but not before it became a canvas for local art celebration. Along with The Light Brigade and The Writer's Block Bookstore & Cafe, Cook Inlet Housing Authority helped support "Transforming ADULT’S ONLY: A Neighborhood Interaction” through their Community Investments Program.

The “ADULT’S ONLY” project, presented as an art installation and community gathering over three Fridays in April, served as an event for Spenardians to unite around as they celebrate the future use of the area. It also served as an opportunity to gain insight from residents on how they feel about Spenard and their neighborhood specifically.
