#Spenardia

Seven photographers set out by foot and bike to explore the streets, people, and nature of Spenard.

Once a separate city from Anchorage, Spenard is a microcosm of greater Anchorage.

These photos tell a story of what Spenard is now, how it was, and foreshadow the unique value local creatives have to affect plans for the future.

Photovoice is about telling stories through photos.

Have you seen the #Spenardia image display visible on the second floor of the old Spenard Post Office building? The images are visible most evenings after 4:30 PM. The talented Ryan Anderson pulled this together collaborating with artists Sierra Rose Byrne, Ryan Chernikoff, Darcy Stein, Adán Hernandez and Oscar Avellaneda-Cruz.
